Trekstasy information
What is Trekstasy?
Trip Creation: App lets logged-in users create trips, hikes and expeditions of any length. They can define difficulty levels, elevations, durations, seasons / dates and plot routes and campsites with a selectable number of waypoints on maps. They can set reminders and alerts, initiate chat per trip, and invite friends to join the trip.
Pack Creation: Users can add their actual backpacks and define them to the most minute detail. Or choose a generic pack to add to a trip, and to their private library of packs if they choose to.
Gear Inventory: Users can fill their Packs with items from a vast central database of items or add their very own items to their private database, and then fill their packs with them. Same minute detail levels. Calories, weight, packed volume, inner and outer volumes, expiration dates, notes about where it's stored, and custom reminders.
List Builder: When users pack a bag, and they are happy with the pack, they can save the pack with contents as a Packing List. This list can be shared, exported, imported and stored in the inventory. Users without an account can create the same lists, but can't have their items database built. They only create snapshot lists for sharing and comparing with others. Import a LighterPack list, or export a Trekstasy list to LighterPack format.
App can calculate caloric, hydration and general readiness state for any given trip, pack, person combo. It has a beefy Settings page to control all your preferences, data access, GDPR privacy and backups.
All user-generated gear can be shared with the central database. Any item in your private database can be QR-code tracked. A dedicated printing setup page lets you easily manage what items to print QR codes for, so you can mark your stuff for other hikers to have an anonymous way to return a lost item to you. You can toggle "this item is lost" on or off for every QR-coded object.
And more. Fully GDPR compliant. Completely free.
