What is Gymex Fitness?

Gymex Fitness is an AI strength-training coach that lives on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It closes the gap between a workout logger (Strong, Hevy, JEFIT) and a human online coach (Caliber, Future): the coaching intelligence runs inside the app, so you get programming, autoregulation, and analysis that normally costs £150–£200/month — starting free, with paid plans from £7.50/mo.

Instead of handing you a fixed template, Gymex writes and continuously adapts genuine multi-week mesocycles around your real performance. It applies progressive overload and periodization automatically, recommends the exact weight and reps for each set, infers your Reps in Reserve (RIR) from your training history, and flags plateaus and overtraining before they cost you a block of progress. After every session it delivers post-workout analysis, and each week it produces an AI recap of what actually drove your results.

Logging is built for the gym floor, not a spreadsheet. Call out your sets by voice and keep moving — no tapping between reps. The companion Apple Watch app detects reps automatically and tracks bar velocity, so effort and fatigue are measured, not guessed. Everything is offline-first: train in a dead-signal basement gym and it syncs the moment you're back online.

Gymex covers the whole picture, not just the barbell. Track nutrition by scanning a barcode or snapping a photo of your meal with the AI meal scanner, log macros, progress photos, and body measurements, and catch every new PR automatically. Connect Garmin, Whoop, Oura, and Apple Health so training adapts to your recovery and readiness. A social community feed and gym leaderboard keep you accountable and competing.

In short: Strong and Hevy log your training; Fitbod generates workouts; Caliber and Future coach you for a premium price. Gymex does the coaching — deciding your loads, reading your RIR, spotting your plateaus, and reshaping your mesocycle week to week — right in the app, for a fraction of the cost.
