It works, you can install the PPA, you dont have to compile any tarball guys. Takes videos, pictures. Settings can be changed. no filters that i see but it does what a camera should do. No crashes so i like it so far.

What is GTK+ UVC Viewer?

guvcview is a video viewer and capture software for the linux UVC driver. It is based in luvcview (http://mxhaard.free.fr), but all controls are done with GTK, allowing for a more user friendly GUI.

This project aims at providing a simple GTK interface for capturing and viewing video from devices supported by the linux UVC driver, although it should also work with any v4l2 compatible device. The project is based on luvcview for video rendering, but all controls are build using a GTK2 interface.
