gmaster is a visual version control toolset to help you become a master of Git, built by the team behind PlasticSCM, with their spectacular Semantic diff and merge, and branch explorer.
Discontinued
The website is unavailable, and the last update is from 2018, but it's still available in the Visual Studio Marketplace.

The interface is very nice, the semantic merging engine great. Everything looks really well thought-through, and it's a joy to work with.
That being said, there are a few functionalitites I consider pretty basic for real-world, day-to-day use, that are still missing from gmaster at this point. For instance, while the branch explorer is very nice and quite helpful in some situations, sometimes I'd rather have a simple list of branches to switch between them, rather than having to search for their tip in a huge, 2D graph. As such, I still have to have other Git GUIs installed beside gmaster in order to keep my workflow most efficient. The gmaster developers seem competent and active, though, so I hope to see more and more of those simple features added in the future.
