Update 2025 Last, but not least, in my weekly update routine. Last, only because I'm using free version and updates require clicking a button vs totally running automatically, but Glary works where other updaters might not. I actually like the Glary's Updater that is included in their GlarySoft Utilities (a great program) a little better for it's simplified view.
I tried Software Update v1.2, it notified me 62 updates available and no one was correct!!!
No way! FileHippo Update Checker is the best.
It works but the interface is awful. In my case, it displays the names of 50 different software packages and only one is out-of-date. Unfortunately, there's no way to quickly identify which one is out-of-date without scrolling through the entire list and identify which program without reading the fine print. There's also no one-button update to download and install only the software that's out of date.
They do have an option to redownload and reinstall ALL software even if it's already up to date, but what's the point?
Occasionally this program finds something that alternatives miss, but my advice is to use Ninite and Chocolatey first and save Glary as your backup.
