I use the recommended settings for my GPU for most games. There are some that I tweak it from there, but typically this knows what is best.
Garbage. Every element of this application is the worst thing you can imagine. Examples: \*It is DRM for hardware \*It is required to use basic features of your hardware \*Requires login for no reason \*Requires LOG IN EVERY UPDATE FOR NO REASON \*No useful features given the fact that the UI is so clunky and slow \*Resource hog \*Security hole \*Literally no way to remove an application from it \*Literally no way to prevent it scanning your system, if you try the app will brick itself \*Mandatory 2FA now, just to rub salt in the gaping cannon wound that is this abomination of an application Screw this app and screw Nvidia. These guys SUCK, literally a toddler could have done better.
Update: Windows game bar can perform all the same functionality with no performance impact. Just bind keys accordingly and geforce experience is totally replaced. Want gamestream? Use sunshine. Done. No more nvidia GARBAGE. Screw these guys.
Utter crap. The fact I have to go out of my way to use third party tricks just to use the recording function is bonkers.
I've blocked updates, installed a custom file to enable me to use the program without being signed in, blocked all their telemetry IPs and this thing still sometimes forces me to restart it to get Shadowplay working. Buggy, corporate anti-consumer crap.
Given this two stars because Shadowplay (the screen recorder function) is good, it's just a shame it's locked away in this garbage.
Made for nvidia graphic cards and works very well: No login required (Try ALT + Z) Less resource hungry than OBS easy screenshot capture with HQ game filter option (make your game more beautiful) Instant Replay Saving (Not good as OBS but resource usage is less than OBS)
Also I'm using this on laptop (Nvidia GTX 1070 Mobile)
Login is required to use alt+z functionality unless you use one of the 3rd party workarounds. Screenshots are not easily captured, see above - requires 2FA DRM.
App has a tendency to log off time to time cutting entire functionality. You can't do anything without logging again. This takes time. So you can't record anything important. Overlay UI is quite poor.
2.5 years into Huang still can't fix. Once servers goes down, the app goes into total backout. You getting logged out and you can't do anything at all.
