The new Nvidia app adds RTX Super Resolution, new Display Settings & ChatRTX integration
Nvidia has launched a significant beta update for its recently launched all-in-one Nvidia App, which combines GeForce Experience and Control Panel functionalities into mone single main hub (which, btw, does not require a login for most of the features). This update introduces new features such as enhanced display settings, RTX Video Super Resolution, RTX Video HDR sliders, and NVIDIA ChatRTX integration.
The update's new display section allows users to adjust resolution, refresh rate, and orientation for connected monitors or TVs, centralizing GPU adjustments. RTX Video Super Resolution technology, compatible with RTX 30- and 40-series graphics cards, can upscale old and blurry web videos with selectable quality levels. Additionally, RTX Video HDR uses AI to upgrade SDR content to HDR, with sliders for peak brightness, contrast, saturation, and middle gray levels.
The updated statistics overlay now includes 1 percent low frame rate stats, CPU usage, latency, and various GPU-related metrics. The update also simplifies downloading and installing the ChatRTX demo, allowing users to run a personal AI chatbot locally on RTX GPU-equipped computers. Nvidia app users are also getting one month of free access to PC Game Pass.
