FranklyMail is fantastic! I started using it a couple of weeks ago and it has been amazing. It integrates so seemlessly for adding DNS records into Cloudflare. The price is better than alternatives (which I switched from). I'm really happy I found out about FranklyMail and will expand using it for all my projects.

As a hobbyist web developer, I’ve always wanted an email service that does one thing well: send and receive emails. No fancy team integrations, online spreadsheets, or a long list of unnecessary features—just a simple, reliable service that focuses on email.

Frankly Mail definitely delivers on that. Its pricing is unmatched, and I’m genuinely excited to see what this business achieves in the long run. I’m looking forward to being a customer and supporting them throughout that journey.

What is FranklyMail?

FranklyMail is a hosted email service for custom domains, aimed at people and small teams who want their own domain on email without running a mail server.

It uses a single plan: $9 per year for unlimited mailboxes and unlimited domains, with 10 GB of storage pooled across the whole account. Additional storage is $0.40 per GB per year. There are no per-seat charges and no tiers, so shared addresses such as hello@, careers@ or invoices@ do not add to the bill.

Mail is served over IMAP, JMAP and SMTP, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured per domain. Included webmail can be used from a browser, and any standard mail client (Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, mobile IMAP clients) can connect directly. Domains are added through a control panel that generates the required DNS records and checks them.

The service runs on dedicated hardware rather than hyperscaler compute, which is the stated reason the price is set where it is.
