Fourwaves

Fourwaves is conference management software for academic conferences. Universities, scientific societies and associations, and research networks use it to run the whole event from one place, instead of the usual patchwork of spreadsheets, Google Forms, Eventbrite, WordPress and email threads. The abstract, the reviewer, the registration and the program all sit on the same data layer, so accepting an abstract updates the program and the conference app without anyone re-entering it.

Abstract submissions. Build your own submission form, collect structured abstracts with equations and formatting, figures and co-author affiliations, set deadlines and submission limits, and let authors edit their work until the call closes.

Peer review. Run single-blind or double-blind review, assign reviewers by topic or by hand, score with your own review grid, track reviewer progress, and send acceptance and rejection decisions in bulk.

Registration and payments. Multiple ticket types, member and student rates, early-bird pricing, discount codes, capacity limits, invoices and refunds. Organizers connect their own payment account (Stripe, PayPal or an institutional gateway such as Moneris, Authorize.Net, Global Payments, Bambora or TouchNet), so attendee payments go straight to the institution and Fourwaves never holds the funds. Tax rules for VAT, GST and QST are set per item.

Event website and program. A bilingual event website with a live schedule, sessions, speakers and searchable abstracts that stays in sync with what you accepted.

Poster sessions. In-person and virtual poster sessions, with video, chat and Q&A, each poster keeping its abstract attached.

Conference app. A free iOS and Android app for attendees: full program, personal agenda, abstracts, posters, participant list, and offline access once the event is downloaded.

On site and after. Name badges, certificates of attendance, the abstract booklet, participant emails and attendance data.

The same workflow runs a 30-abstract research day and a 2,000-submission, multi-track society annual meeting.
