What is FollowNet VPN?

FollowNet VPN is a privacy-focused VPN for iPhone, iPad, and Chrome, built for networks where a single protocol isn't enough. Instead of relying on one standard, it ships five modern protocols and Smart Connect, which picks the one that works best on your current Wi-Fi or mobile network — including networks that throttle or block standard VPN traffic.

Protocols:

  • IKEv2 — stable reconnects when switching between Wi-Fi and cellular.
  • WireGuard — fast and lightweight for everyday use.
  • AmneziaWG — obfuscated WireGuard for networks that detect standard VPNs.
  • Hysteria2 — QUIC-based protocol for lossy or unstable networks.
  • VLESS Reality — for restrictive networks with deep packet inspection.
  • Smart Connect — chooses the protocol automatically, or pick one yourself.

Main features:

  • One-tap connect, with Auto-connect on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or any network.
  • DNS profiles: AdGuard, Cloudflare, or Google.
  • Kill switch where supported.
  • Built-in speed test and usage statistics.
  • Home screen widgets and Shortcuts support.
  • Server search, favourites, and location filters.
  • Passwordless sign-in with an email code, Sign in with Apple, or Google.
  • QR sign-in: scan from your iPhone to log into Chrome or another device in seconds.
  • In-app support and ticket chat.

Chrome extension: The same FollowNet account works in the Chrome extension, which routes your browser traffic through FollowNet servers. It includes a kill switch, built-in ad blocking, site routing, and traffic stats. Premium syncs automatically between iOS and Chrome. An Android app is coming soon.

Free and Premium:

  • Free: all five protocols, Smart Connect, free servers, and a weekly traffic allowance. No credit card required.
  • Premium: unlimited traffic, all server locations, and up to 5 devices on one account. A 3-day free trial is available on the annual plan in the App Store.

Privacy: FollowNet does not collect browsing history, visited URLs, DNS query content, or traffic content. Only limited technical metadata needed to run the service, such as session timing and traffic volume, is processed. Full details are in the privacy policy: https://follow-net.com/privacy
