Folder owners can invite editors, making it suitable for individuals, couples, families, and very small teams maintaining a shared reference archive.

Users can export their original files together with a metadata manifest. Folderling supports PDF, JPEG, and PNG uploads and English or German OCR. The public product is a web application. A 50-document trial is available without a payment card; the intended paid plans are $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year.

Folderling is intended for personal archives and small, straightforward shared collections. It is not an enterprise records-management system and does not provide legal holds, retention workflows, anonymous public links, or document-by-document permissions. OCR, generated suggestions, and document answers should be reviewed.
