Flow Youtube Client

Flow is an open-source, minimalist YouTube and Yotube Music client for Android devices, focusing on privacy and simplicity. It doesn't have ads or tracking features and uses a local neural engine for video playback.

Built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3, this client includes FlowNeuro, a recommendation engine that doesn't require accounts or tracking. It offers high-quality video playback with ExoPlayer (Media3), resolution switching, SponsorBlock to skip unnecessary content, and DeArrow to replace clickbait thumbnails and titles. It also supports background playback, picture-in-picture mode, casting, customizable subtitles, and video downloading in various formats.

The app includes a music player with album art and audio visualizations, queue management, shuffle and repeat functions, a mini player, synchronized lyrics display, and fetches tracks from YouTube Music. The FlowNeuro Engine offers recommendations based on your viewing habits and preferences and includes a transparency dashboard. Other features include local watch history, favorites, custom playlists, subscription management, and privacy features such as no Google account requirement, no ads or tracking, and local data storage. The client's appearance can be customized with 11 different themes.
