FinePdf

Windows PDF N-up tool that trims page margins before combining pages, so text stays large when printing multiple pages per sheet.

Before: the same PDF combined with Windows' built-in "print 4 pages per sheet". Each page keeps its white margins, so the actual text shrinks and gets hard to read.

After: the same PDF at 4-up in FinePdf. Margins are auto-trimmed before placement, so the text is noticeably larger at the exact same 4-in-1 layout.

What is FinePdf?

FinePdf is a Windows desktop tool for printing PDFs with multiple pages per sheet (N-up) without shrinking the text too much.

The usual "print 4 pages per sheet" driver option makes text tiny because it scales down the whole page — including the 20–30% of white margins that slides and papers typically have. FinePdf detects the actual content area (bounding box) of each page, trims the margins first, and only then arranges the pages. The result is noticeably larger text at the same 2/4/8/16-up layout. An optional single-scale mode keeps the text size consistent across pages even when content boxes differ.

Features:

  • N-up 2/4/8/16 with automatic page-orientation detection
  • Content-area detection and margin trimming
  • Booklet imposition (fold an A4 in half to get an A5 booklet)
  • Merge multiple PDFs and convert in one pass
  • Ink-saving / grayscale mode
  • Pre-conversion preview with a "sheets saved" counter

Windows 10/11 x64, single executable, no .NET installation required. 14-day free trial (no feature limits), then a one-time lifetime license — not a subscription.
