What is FileDue?

FileDue is a payment-gated file delivery platform for freelancers and small agencies who deliver digital work to clients.

The problem it solves: every freelancer has experienced sending the finished work, hearing "I'll pay by Friday," and then waiting three weeks. FileDue inverts the sequence. You upload your deliverable, set a price, and share a single link with your client. The client sees a preview of what they're paying for, pays via Stripe, and the files unlock and download instantly. No follow-up emails. No awkward invoice-chasing conversations.

How it works:

  • Upload one file or a set of files for a project
  • Set a price in any currency Stripe supports
  • Share a public link with your client
  • Client opens the link, sees previews, pays via Stripe Checkout
  • Files unlock immediately on successful payment
  • Both freelancer and client get receipts and confirmation emails

Built on Stripe Connect, so payments go directly to the freelancer's own Stripe account — FileDue never holds funds. Freelancers keep 98% of every transaction (2% platform fee, no monthly subscription, no minimum).

Designed for one-off project deliveries rather than ongoing subscriptions or large file transfers. Common use cases: design deliverables (PSD, AI, Figma exports), video work (raw footage, edited deliverables), documents and reports, code repositories as archives, audio masters, and any other digital work where "deliver the file, then chase payment" used to be the workflow.

Built by a solo developer based in Valencia, in public. The product is live and processing real transactions. Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 with region-aware routing (EU buckets for EU customers, North American buckets for North American customers).

Pricing: free for the first three deliveries, then a flat 2% platform fee per transaction. No subscription, no per-file fees, no minimums.
