Eppika is a language learning app for adults who want to move beyond short exercises and start understanding real texts. Instead of learning through isolated words and drills, Eppika helps users improve their language skills by reading adapted books and listening to native narration.
The app includes 3,000+ adapted books across 17 languages, with content available for learners from A1 to C1. Each book is adapted to different proficiency levels, so users can choose a version that matches their current knowledge and gradually progress to more complex texts. The library includes classic fiction, adventure, romance, mystery, fantasy, drama, fairy tales, self-development titles, and adapted summaries of popular nonfiction books.
While reading, users can tap any word to see its translation and hear its pronunciation without leaving the page. New words can be saved to a personal vocabulary list and reviewed later with flashcards. Books also include native audio narration, allowing users to read and listen at the same time or switch to audiobook-style listening while walking, commuting, or doing other activities.
Eppika is designed particularly for learners who already know some of the language but find it difficult to read complete texts comfortably. It can also complement apps focused on exercises and vocabulary by helping learners use what they have already studied in the context of complete stories.
The app offers a free story every day and is available on iOS and Android. Eppika currently supports languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Turkish, Polish, Greek, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, and Ukrainian.
