Enomotia

ENOMOTIA is a free, persistent-world browser strategy game set in Ancient Greece. Players found cities on shared islands, gather wood, stone, marble, grapes and iron, research technologies, build armies and fleets, and expand through colonies. Battles are resolved round by round on a battlefield with lanes and can be replayed in a battle viewer. The game features alliances and diplomacy, a market and shipping between islands, cultural treaties between players, and pirate coves for player-versus-environment raids. It runs in the browser with no download, is available in English, Turkish, German, Polish and Greek, and paid extras are cosmetic or small conveniences only.
