What is Endstate?
Endstate captures the applications and supported settings on a Windows PC into one portable profile. On a new or freshly installed machine, it compares that profile with the current setup, reinstalls missing applications through WinGet or Chocolatey and restores only the settings the user enables.
Application installation and settings restoration are separate. Applications available through supported package managers can be reinstalled, while 357 dedicated modules currently define settings capture and restoration for specific apps. Credentials and secrets are deliberately excluded.
The local app is open source, works offline, requires no account and has no telemetry. An optional paid hosted-backup service is available but is not required to use the application.
