Easemic is a free, open-source Android reader for comics, manga and webtoons that keeps your library in cloud storage you own instead of on one phone.
Add comics from folders on the phone (image folders, CBZ and ZIP), from your own Kavita or Komga server over OPDS, or from built-in online catalogs. Collected comics are saved to your own storage: Cloudflare R2, Bunny Storage, Backblaze B2 or any S3-compatible bucket, WebDAV, Google Drive or OneDrive. For R2, Bunny and B2 you paste one API key and the app creates its bucket itself. Libraries on Google Drive, OneDrive and WebDAV are always encrypted on the phone with your password; on S3 storage encryption is your choice.
Pages stream from your storage on demand, so the phone does not fill up, and a comic that disappears from its original site stays readable on your shelf. Connect a new phone or a tablet to the same storage and the whole shelf comes back; a password-protected backup file carries reading progress, history and settings.
The reader has paged and vertical-strip modes, right-to-left manga paging, double-page spread splitting, pinch and double-tap zoom, and hands-free auto-scroll for webtoons. The app is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
No account, no ads and no tracking: the app talks only to the storage and sources you choose. Some of the optional online catalogs host adult content. Licensed under Apache-2.0.
