I've used Dr.Fone over the years, primarily for exporting/migrating WhatsApp and LINE app data en masse. I've found it to be the most useful tool for WhatsApp thus far, with LINE's feature set being better in previous versions of the app. Overall, Dr.Fone is a multi-faceted tool with a lot of useful functionality, depending on your needs.

I can not install this program on my computer, might be great, but it wont even install for me...
Allows for free android backups but recovery of those files requires a paid plan. No warning of this is present anywhere. Do not rely on this as your only backup method.
i wanted to transfer whatsapp history from old android to new iphone so i tried both wondershare dr fone which couldnt work without installing wutsapper app by same company due to connector app b"this app was made for an older version" and in the app it asks for 18 usd while pc asks for 21 usd. this seems to be the only easy solution for lay people until whatsapp provide an official solution like they promised. the top alternative "phonerescue" actually tells you to use their app called anytrans pc/phone for the purpose of transferring whatsapp but they ask fo r 40 usd. so double the price of dr fone. it is not clear in both apps if the transfer happens on a local level or at some point your backup is sent to their computers. dr fone is based in hong kong and phonerescue is based in California. well im going to try dr fone for their cheaper price. update after testing: i installed first dr fone then it did some in app preparations and then asked to pay. one of the preps was a connector app and "converting" the backup. i stopped there and installed anytrans, when i connected the phones it prompted me to install something called "airbackup assist" or something it seemed official. then it prompted to install official samsung usb driver which required me to restart pc. these things dr fone didn't ask me to do which would make me suspicious that dr fone was doing these things on their server but i couldn't switch off net to test because then whatsapp would disconnect, we need a proper third party tester. so i went with dr fone for the lower price, during which it asked to turn off find my phone in the iphone and force installed an older version of whatsapp on the android, the process took about an hour which seemed odd to me if it was offline transfer it shouldn't take that long. definitely shady and convoluted process i should have went with anytrans in retrospect. but the transfer worked anyway.
An excellent program! It's easy to use and it works perfectly. The price is worthy i think.
Compatible with latest backups made from iTunes. Doesn't need iTunes to do backups, restore, or migrations. Additional android capabilities. Easy and advanced interface. They need to make more tutorial videos, or make the tutorials slightly more detailed. Should also make offline installers more easily available.
