What is Donut Browser?

Donut Browser is an open source anti-detect browser that lets you create unlimited isolated browser profiles, each with its own unique fingerprint, cookies, proxy, and settings. Built as a privacy tool first, it collects zero telemetry and the app source code is fully auditable on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0 license.

It ships with two browser engines — Wayfern (Chromium-based) and Camoufox (Firefox-based). Each profile supports per-profile HTTP/SOCKS5 proxies and WireGuard/OpenVPN VPN connections.

A local REST API and built-in MCP server let you manage profiles programmatically or through AI tools like Claude. Pro plan adds browser automation with Puppeteer/Playwright support, cross-platform fingerprints, cloud sync, and team collaboration.

Free plan includes unlimited local profiles, cookie and extension management, proxy/VPN support, and the profile management API — no account required. You can also self-host profile sync. Available on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
