It's the only software that offers a migrate OS to SSD feature for free as of today.
2024 I believe Hasleo Backup, HDClone, MiniTool Drive Copy amongst others will do that now.
I appreciate that this program has special features that help some people, but I advise the average person to avoid this program.. especially if cloning. There's too many serious pitfalls that are easy to fall into, and there's far easier cloning programs to use like HDClone. Past Experience: Had to do the OpSystem Migration twice Lesson: Grab the old drive out of the computer before restarting! Disk Genius should give warning. Check that you get all your files.. ..particularly in Downloads and other Users. Recent Experience Nov 2024: Tried OS migration I got this message: "The system migration feature temporarily does not support migrating the system partition located on the MBR disk that boots in UEFI mode." I cloned the drive instead, and made the mistake of toying/clicking the USB boot option. Not only did it turn the clone into USB boot, which wasn't working on my system, but the original drive was corrupted into a USB drive. That should never have happened! and I had to redo my system. (BCD/EFI issue) Lesson Learned: When it comes to Window Systems, 2 backup clones is not extravagant.
lol, I noticed your post has been "pending approval" for more than two years. Guess I won't get my hopes up for most of mine in the same category :D
It's free version has a ton of features, very well coded, and no annoying bloatware like Easeus. Another feature iI haven't yet seen in any other program, you can edit EFI boot entries with a few clicks instead of messing with the commandline. Makes adding Clover or EFGuard a breeze.
The other day, I accidentally deleted a Bitlocker (new version) encrypted partition. With DiskGenius, it took a couple of minutes and it simply wrote back the partition table. No need to copy the data before having it as it was before.
The other candidate was iboysoft Data Recovery, which would have worked as well. As far as I could see, it has no advantage but it costs much more. They do much more aggressive publicity and, therefore, it is easier to stumble over it.
LOVE its uncommon features, such as its ability to unlock BitLocker encryption.
Mainly I choose it because it can repair bad sector. Also it can manage partition.
Supports resizing ext4 partitions from in Windows
