Dirty.us is a social news website where anyone can create their own thematic community. Users can publish articles, links, embed videos, photos or even create comic strips. All members of dirty.us can rate each post, comment and user. Transparency is the key aspect of rating system, so every vote is public. Communities have vast selections of settings including the ability to organize elections. This permits other community members to vote for their own President and elect them for a limited term of office. Users do not have a pre-set homepage and are instead encouraged to select their own communities and participate in them. Alternatively they can keep track of all open communities and only filter some of them.
