Awesome engine, we can focus on mechanics and design instead of the tech aspects. It's great for hasted 2D projects and their built int behaviors and plugins cover pretty much every mechanic I came up to.
For 2D games Construct 3 is incredible! It's super easy to use, and allows you to create practically any type of game for so many platforms! So many functionalities are built into the engine that, compared with other engines, you'd save days worth of 'coding' time. Could not recommend it more! Especially for mobile devices!!! iOS and Android exporting is super simple, what more do you need!

Learn programming
Perfect for beginners.
I work in graphic design, and previously had no experience making video games, but halfway to finishing my first game after 2 months, and I'm really pleased with it!
The software is streamlined AF. The whole 'visual coding' way of working works really well for me.
80 pounds felt like a lot of money, but the yearly subscription is 100% worth it, and very good value for what it allows you to do. Especially compared with alternatives.
These are all really helpful when you're starting out in game design. What really helped a lot more though, were the actual staff at Scirra. I spoke with Tom. He was really quick to reply, patient, clear and generally so much more helpful than the customer support I've become used to with other products.
Biggup Construct!
Construct 3 is NOT Freemium. The freely downloadable version is restricted. Software is monthly subscription only.
I have been using Construct engine to create games for almost 3 yrs now so i have used both C2 & C3 and can tell the difference, so C2 was a good engine for simpler games but lacked performance and a lot of features but C3 has overcome this with its new basic required features like Share Plugin, Build Feature, Timeline and more. Also they are updating regularly with new features, that you can find here... C3 Intro & Features also recently they added javascript support that can help you if you are a beginner and want to learn language. You can see games made with c3 here ... games made with C3 and games created by me here... games created by me in C3 Finally, i would like to say that with reasonable subscription model and regular updates, it is one of the best 2D game engines out there.
Application is a full web app, able to run offline and online, save on Google Drive directly. I love to create a lot of interfaces for my webservices.
