What is ComputoLab?
ComputoLab is a desktop application for construction cost estimating and public-works accounting in Italy.
It includes the open-data price books published by Italian regions and autonomous provinces, already searchable inside the app, and produces the accounting documents required by Italian public-works law (D.Lgs. 36/2023): bill of quantities, measurement books, register of accounts, progress reports with retentions, payment certificates and final accounts. Every document is exported as PDF/A, the archival format required for long-term preservation.
It works entirely offline. Projects are stored locally in a standard SQLite database and can always be exported as documented JSON, including in the free version and after a licence has expired. Estimates are exchanged with other Italian estimating software through the XPWE interchange format.
The free version has no time limit and covers one project at a time. Paid plans start at 199 EUR per year for a single seat.
