I've used this app for several years already and recently according to its FAQ it supports online cloud syncing https://www.colornote.com/faq-question/how-can-i-sign-up-for-colornotes-online-backup-service/
I personally just use it as a standalone notetaking app and don't have it integrated with anything but my phone. I run backups by copypasting notes and emailing it to myself over time or to evernote
In terms of why its better than something like evernote / GoogleKeep
So I use this to some minute notes at a meeting when i have to and have nothing but my phone and very rarely ideas I need to put down somewhere to use for later

Excellent app. It syncronise all my notes, illimited, and free. What else ! I am very happy with this app.
Fast & Easy to use. Dark mode (black background/white text) Automatic backup. Can open in Windows !
I like the simple interface and sync for my quick random notes (don't want to use evernote for that - I use that for more complete notes), but I need an app that let my access my simple short notes online on my computer as well as on my mobile devices..
If you want to sync your notes with your desktop computer and edit the notes also sometimes offline, you must use
Upvise or 
Memonic instead of 
ColorNote , which cannot sync notes and has only an english user interface, and which is only available for Android.
Upvise can also sync notes with Windows Mobile devices, but most strings are not translated to german, Memonic is available in many languages, but not for Windows Mobile devices.
Both Upvise and Memonic can be used offline with syncing the notes next time, when an internet-connection is available again.
If you need no offline-access to your notes but availability on all platforms, 
Evernote is the best note-app for you.
