What is CmisSync?

Syncs files to/from any local enterprise file server. Not cloud-based: CmisSync works on Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems on local area networks (LAN) without Internet.

Third-party sync tools like Dropbox and SkyDrive are popular because they are convenient. But is it really safe to trust these companies with your company's internal data?

The GUI looks like Dropbox, but syncs with an existing CMIS-compliant file server. Synchronize with Alfresco, Documentum, FileNet, SharePoint, Nuxeo, NemakiWare, eXo Platform, and any other CMIS-compliant server. CmisSync leverages the user accounts and permissions of your file server, so employees only see the files they're allowed to see. This is a big advantage over public cloud services in terms of administration and security.
