What is CleanSlate?
CleanSlate is a scheduling and invoicing platform for Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com cleaners. It is also compatible with regular residential cleaning services.
Most cleaners bill from memory, scrolling back through a calendar they can't really see at the end of the month. They then reconstruct the days they worked and input it into a spreadsheet or a text message. This process often results in missed days and chasing payments.
CleanSlate solves this problem by connecting to the property's booking calendar from Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com and converting every checkout into a line on an invoice. The cleaner reviews it, adds any extras such as a deep clean, a late checkout or supplies, and submits it. The host approves and records payment in the same place, resulting in both parties holding the same dated record.
CleanSlate also manages regular recurring houses, not only short term rental turnovers, as most cleaners run a mixed book. Other features include invoice PDFs, photo attachments on line items, a rate sheet, earnings reports, supply and inventory tracking, and one-way sync to QuickBooks Online and Xero. It is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
Only the person who signs up pays for the service. The host or homeowner on the other side of the invoice is invited in and never pays.
