ClaimLand

ClaimLand is a free location-based GPS game that lays a grid of plots (about 25 x 30 metres) over the real world map. Only the plots within reach of your actual GPS position can be played: visit a plot for 1 gold, buy it from 10 gold, and every plot you own earns gold every minute. Other players can buy your plots off you, and each sale raises the price by 10 gold.

There are 40 levels that widen your reach. From level 4 your outskirts open up, a second ring where you can buy up to ten plots a day without walking there. From level 6 you build on your own land, from a tent up to a castle, and every building brings in diamonds each day. Leaderboards rank the most plots owned, the most plots visited and the biggest net worth, worldwide and per country; the top two players of a country become its President and Vice President. Daily bonuses, daily tasks, medals, a global chat and country chats, and friend invites round it off.

ClaimLand is an Android app on Google Play and runs just as well in the mobile browser at claimland.app. You can start right away as a guest; a free account (email or Google) saves your progress and lifts the 10-plot limit. There are no in-app purchases: everything is earned by playing, and the Android app offers optional reward videos. Available in English, German, Spanish, Polish, Korean and Japanese, for ages 16 and up.

Note: the game needs GPS and is meant to be played outdoors on a phone. On a desktop the map loads, but there is little in range.
