What is ChARM EHR?
ChARM EHR allows you to schedule appointments, share pre-appointment questionnaires, record patient visits with SOAP notes, and maintain comprehensive information about patient's medical condition. Configurable templates allow physicians to quickly document patient visit and lets them focus more than on the patient.
Practices can provide ChARM PHR, Patient Portal to their patients upon registration. Through patient portal, care team can communicate with their patients by sending messages securely, share documents, etc. Patient portal allows patients to request for appointments online, fill up pre-appointment questionnaires, view visit summary, etc.
ChARM EHR follows stringent security measures by adhering to HIPAA & HITECH standards, to ensure security of e-PHI. ChARM EHR supports exporting patient data in HL7 CCD formats for portability and continuity of healthcare.

I have been using ChARM EHR for about 3 years. It is has been a great platform for me starting out as an integrative physician. The system has grown with me through the years. I especially like that ChARM has inventory management and I can add my own templates and forms on to the system for patients. Rarely I have had questions and have been able to get a response sometimes by email and phone.
I like the fact that a patients chart, imaging, scheduling and communication all happen in one place-- I can see when our biller sends out the bill, what codes are paid, when they invoice the patient, as well as what other providers in my practice are doing with the patient. .I also enjoy the chat function
The iphone app needs a bit of work-- its nice to be able to read messages, but will not let me access billing, other providers schedules or past treatments rendered
We were struggling with an EHR that was advertised as being flexible and very custimizable but wasn't really working and crashed often. We looked at all the usual options for a new EHR but weren't really happy about any of them. The Doctors didn't like how all of them seemed to put the biller first and the patient second. It was difficult for them to think about how we would really take care of our patients. The founders of the practice wanted to be able to pull statistics out of the EHR and everyone wanted to be able to make it work the "BowTie Way", and they all wanted integrated telehealth. Charm has given us all we asked for. It's easy to use and easy to adjust and doesn't break the bank. The patient portal is fabulous. The telehealth is more than we had hoped for. The billing module is easy to use and lets me keep track of things really well, and it never crashes. Everyone seems to be happy with Charm. The only drawback is I can list is the calendar. We have 3 facilities and practitoners move between them. In Charm, each facility has it's own calendar. It would be easier if the calendar was all one, but it's easy enough to work with and all in all, it's a minor inconvienience.
