    OSS Document Scanner is more lightweight, and has better filters. It condenses the files similarly as CamScanner, but the text is more clear.

    The only problem is that for my phone (GrapheneOS), I have to take photos with camera and import them in the app, because for whatever reason it makes the images blurry when I take the photo in the app itself. This may be because of my Android operating system.

    But it's smaller, open-source, and outputs better images (textbook pages).

    One of the few - perhaps even the only - open source scanning apps for Android. Gives comparable results to Camscanner. Needs OpenCV Manager to be installed, but that's a formality (the latter requires no permissions.)

    Main point of this app is to scan or select existing PDF documents simply using intent or chooser. Other apps require payment to access their api/sdk or simply don't have a possible way to do it. So they rely on switching between an app ,file chooser and a scanner.
