What is Camel - Developer Text Tools?

Camel keeps everything you regularly do with copied text in one native macOS menu bar app. It combines searchable clipboard history, reusable snippets, Copy Batch, and more than 50 developer tools for formatting and validating JSON, changing text case, encoding and decoding Base64, URLs, HTML entities and JWTs, creating hashes, converting timestamps, generating UUIDs, and more.

Every built-in tool and custom action can have its own global keyboard shortcut, so a conversion can run without switching away from the current app. Clipboard items can be pasted as rich text or plain text.

On Macs that support Apple Intelligence, users can create reusable Custom AI Actions for tasks such as fixing grammar, summarizing, drafting replies, or reformatting copied text. Processing happens on-device, without API keys or token fees. The clipboard and developer tools also run locally and offline.
