What is Calority?

Calority is a calorie and macro diary for Android. The diary is stored in a local database on the device: there is no account, no server and no analytics, and logging, dishes, goals, the dashboard and the home screen widget work with no network at all.

Food search and barcode lookups query Open Food Facts, and that is the only thing that leaves the device, at the moment you search or scan. Nutrition can also be read from a photo of a package label, which runs on the device; the photo is not uploaded and not kept. Home-cooked meals are saved once as a dish and logged by weight afterwards, and a dish can be handed to another phone as a QR code with no internet involved. Backup, restore and CSV export are built in.

Optional Health Connect sync is off by default and write-only.
