Comments about Microsoft Visual Studio as an Alternative to C++ Builder
Most Recent CommentAlthough I love VS, it is a set of IDE that comes with compilers, frameworks, etc. This is no RAD.
MS VS is not RAD, doesn't have visual components like Borland product, anyway cannot be compared to BCB or being called alternative. It is just something different and I'm not sure, but I'm convinced those alternatives should be free.

It's a cross between Glade / Visual Studio — the idea is that most 'action' code for an application is actually quite simple - so entering the code on the event handlers for a widget makes the proximity of code to action better.

It does not have a native GUI designer like C++ Builder. Yes you can use .NET framework but that is not native.
