What is Bookmark Genie?

Bookmark Genie is a standalone web application for organising, consolidating and restructuring existing browser bookmark collections from any browser and system. Users export their bookmarks from their browser, upload the bookmarks file to Bookmark Genie, choose the level of analysis and organisation they require, and download the reorganised collection for re-import into their preferred browser.

Its tools can categorise bookmarks, identify outliers, detect broken links, highlight forgotten bookmarks and prioritise useful content. Additional analysis options include summaries, folder-load analysis, metadata checks and source-update information.

Unlike a conventional bookmark manager or browser extension, Bookmark Genie is designed primarily as a pre-management organisation and restructuring tool: it works on an existing bookmark collection outside the browser and returns a cleaned and reorganised structure that the user can continue managing in their preferred browser or another bookmark-management system.
