bmux is a Chromium-based browser for people and agents. Organize pages into horizontal or vertical splits, keep references in floating panes, and switch between named project sessions. Keyboard shortcuts, scroll mode, and click hints let you browse without constantly reaching for the mouse.
Each pane belongs to an isolated browser profile. Profiles keep cookies and logins separate, while background profiles keep agent pages running. Use the CLI to navigate, inspect the DOM, click, type, run JavaScript, and capture screenshots without taking focus from your own work. Watch several agents in the same workspace and attach to their live pages when needed.
bmux also offers mobile-device presets, per-profile proxies, saved layouts, bookmarks, ad and tracker blocking, dark mode, and local script plugins. Detaching a client leaves its pages running; quitting stops the browser.
bmux is an early preview, free and open source under GPLv3. Desktop downloads are available for macOS and Windows, with portable Linux browser hosts for remote access. It does not require tmux.
