Great tool, easy and fast. Has enough editing features.

free functionality is more than enough for personal use. and if one needs more - price for paid version is reasonable, plus it has regional variations!
and one of the most important things: a promise of sustainability. it's a promise, yeah, but it seems to be one of the creator's principles about good web. i kinda believe it.
lightweight, incredibly fast loading times. if you require high quality image uploads/hosting, though, consider other platforms.
An awesome blogging platform for those who are looking for a minimalist and lightweight solution built on open source software. The free tier is really great while the paid tier obviously brings new feature that are worth the price ! But it's not for every one, if you like Markdown and minimalist tech you would like it.
I host my french speaking blog on Bear Blog !
By far the easiest way to blog and cheap.
Nah! Not~e~-worthy.
Herman may have had a very specific use case. If yours matches his, then you may find this useful.
Of course, full kudos to Herman for offering it up for free. 3 cheers!!!
You also can insert images, not only text.
don't understand how having to register an account for a blog hosting and creating tool is a downside and it's pretty clearly communicated what the product is and is not.
Neutral comment:
In spite of having a Github to host it's code, it's apparently written as it's own platform than a script you can host yourself. There is a fork called Polar Bear Blog that can be, however it's written in Go. So if you know Go, maybe it'll work for you.
