It is the most "just works" Ive ever had with linux and I have legitamately not looked back to windows. Games work well except for ubisoftconnect which was very hard to get working but I finally did it. I have all the desktop apps I need. Looks super modern and customizability is great. Only gets annoying for programmers who need CLIs in their workflow. I woud absolutely not recommend this for programming. But anything else youre good to go

One of the best alternative to Windows, either for gaming or desktop use. Especially as everything is already set up for you and accessible, and you don't need to know Linux to use it well. Try the KDE desktop environment to have a close desktop experience to Windows (which is also extremely customizable if you wish).

With their forced installation of a rushed and broken Flatpak store (Bazaar) replacing KDE Discover, and their ditching of Handheld Daemon for purely ideological reasons, I can no longer recommend Bazzite as a main OS. Since I would rather control what I install, I switched to Fedora KDE.
Best distro for gamers, period.
