Bolide Audio Scanner is a Windows application that finds known audio clips in long recordings or folders of recordings. It uses acoustic fingerprints to match reference clips such as jingles, advertisements, music excerpts, announcements, and sponsor reads, including clips with different formats or bitrates, adjusted volume, partial cuts, or overlapping speech or music. Results include millisecond start and end times, similarity percentages, play counts, and partial-match information.
It can search multiple reference clips and recordings at once, summarize plays by clip or recording, and derive airtime from logger filenames, file dates, or manual input. A waveform view marks matches and supports playback and A/B comparison. Sensitivity can be adjusted without rescanning, and near matches remain available for review. Features include HTML proof-of-play reports, CSV export, Audacity labels, cue sheets, Adobe Audition markers, cached fingerprints, command-line operation, and an 8 kHz mode for phone recordings.
Audio Scanner supports MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, AAC/M4A, ALAC, OGG, Opus, WMA, APE, WavPack, and other formats. Processing is local and does not require an account, subscription, or cloud service. The free version finds, displays, and plays occurrences without a time limit; reporting, export, result copying, and command-line features require a one-time license. The interface is available in English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian.
