App AI Gateway

App AI Gateway is an AI gateway for iOS apps. Your app calls the gateway instead of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or another provider, so the provider keys stay on the server and never ship inside the app.

What is App AI Gateway?

App AI Gateway is an AI gateway for iOS apps. Your app calls the gateway instead of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or another provider, so the provider keys stay on the server and never ship inside the app.

Every request is signed with Apple App Attest and checked by the gateway, so a copied request can't be replayed or edited. Optionally, it also checks that the user is signed in (Firebase, Supabase, Auth0, Clerk or your own JWT issuer) and has an active subscription. You set rate limits and spending budgets per install, per user and per app, block users who run up your bill, and see usage, cost and errors for each user. All providers sit behind one endpoint, and server apps can use API keys, so all your apps show up in one place.

Add the Swift package (iOS 16+) to your app. Use the hosted service, with a free plan and paid plans priced per request, with no markup on tokens. Or self-host the same code for free on your own Cloudflare account (open source, Apache 2.0): you pay only Cloudflare and your AI providers, nothing to us.

A CLI (npm package @maxceem/agw) and an MCP server let you or a coding agent set up providers and apps and check usage. Android isn't supported yet.
