Doesn't seem near as refined as MenuLibre. There are duplicate sub-menu entries. No tooltips for clarifying what options do. Can't open properties dialog for local menu entries. Very buggy. Tends to jump sporadically between the duplicate sub-menu entries.
This review is for Alacarte 3.44.1 on Lubuntu 22.04.1 x86_64 desktop.
The Alacarte program has nNOT been update for several years and looks like it will no longer be updated or maintained. menulibre appears to be a suitable alternative and contains the new features etc. which are allowed for.
