What is Agila?

Agila is a collaborative Kanban workspace for teams that want Jira-like structure without living in Jira. Run it self-hosted with Docker (MIT) or use the hosted service.

It supports multi-board workspaces with drag-and-drop that stays usable under load, soft WIP limits (warn at capacity without hard-blocking moves), column policy notes, and edit-in-place across Kanban, List, Gantt, and Calendar views. Real-time collaboration, roles (Admin / User / Viewer), and per-board membership keep access clear. Optional sprints include goals and burndown. Optional extras: bring-your-own S3, SSO (Google, Microsoft, GitHub), and a BYO AI Agent (your keys) that can assist on tasks, work linked Git repos, or run admin board automations with dry-run review.

Built after OpenProject felt too heavy and Vikunja never clicked for our own delivery work — we dogfood Agila on real boards.
