Agent Office

Agent Office is a native, open-source AI assistant add-in for Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on Windows.

Instead of operating as an external chatbot that gives copy-paste advice, Agent Office interacts directly with live documents through Office's COM object model. It reads cell ranges and document structures, writes data, applies formatting, creates charts, and inspects results via vision to verify its own work in a closed loop.

Key capabilities:

• Excel: Read and write cell ranges, build formatted tables, create charts, run PivotTables, insert OMML formulas, and capture sheet regions visually.
• Word: Draft content, format text styles, create tables, and export to PDF.
• PowerPoint: Add and manage slides, format text, insert shapes and tables, apply themes, and manage speaker notes.
• Integrated image tools: Generate pictures using configured models or search Openverse (300M+ free photos) directly into your slides and sheets.
• Privacy & Local execution: The agent loop, session persistence (local SQLite), and context compaction run entirely in-process. It connects directly to your chosen LLM endpoint without intermediary proxy servers.
• LLM Compatibility: Works with any OpenAI-compatible API (OpenAI, Google Gemini with reasoning/thought signatures, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Groq) or local models via Ollama.
• Distribution: Installs per-user via a single MSI without administrative privileges.
