This game is quite fun. It has RPG elements, plenty of skills and items, and a fun colonization-style gameplay. Because it is a text game most everything is left up to the imagination. Parts of the game that require interactive gameplay you ASCII characters for visuals. And it won't take over your life. It can be completed within a few hours.
