What is 8tracks?
8tracks is handcrafted internet radio, available in US and Canada only.
It offers a simple way for people to share and discover music through an online mix, a short playlist containing at least 8 tracks. On 8tracks, people can do two things: listen to a mix, or create a mix. Listeners can search for a mix by artist or genre, stream it in a legal, radio-style manner, and follow others who make compelling mixes. DJs upload MP3s or AACs to craft a playlist, add context with description and art, and publish their mix on 8tracks.com and a personal webpage.

Unfortunately, 8tracks is only partially working anywhere else from the USA (due to the different ways countries handle the right to listen freely to any wanted music). Appart from that, i feel 8tracks has always been a fantastic to discover some new music and just sit through a playlist when you don't know what to listen to but still know the mood you're in :)

I really believe Playmoss is the best free alternative to 8tracks if you want to make playlists (specially if you use YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo or BandCamp). Why did it go from the first page to the third one with 42 votes? I just don't get it!

I used to like it, but lately, it'll stop a playlist and refuse to load the next song. The only way to continue is to use a skip. You get a limited amount of skips. You can see how this inevitably becomes a big problem.
