Zed enables default sandboxing for agent panel tools in version 1.14
Zed now enforces sandboxing by default for all users on version 1.14, restricting agents' actions in the agent panel's terminal and fetch tools using operating system APIs.
These sandboxes prohibit agents from writing outside project directories, modifying the .git folder, or making network requests unless users explicitly grant permission.
The mechanism uses platform-specific solutions like Seatbelt (macOS), Bubblewrap (Linux), and WSL support for Windows, with setup required on Linux and WSL systems.
