SpaceXAI launches Grok Bot, a new AI agent app for autonomous tasks on iPhone and Mac

SpaceXAI and Cursor have introduced Grok Bot, a new AI agent app for iPhone and Mac. Closely linked to SpaceXAI's planned $60 billion acquisition of Cursor, this new product is designed to carry out real tasks that involve interacting with third-party apps, rather than merely answering questions or producing content.

While the traditional AI assistant from Grok focus on content generation, Grok Bot manages actual tasks for users and handles end-to-end jobs, only requesting human input when judgment is required, similar to other AI agents like OpenClaw, Claude Cowork or Perplexity Computer. Each Grok Bot operates in its own computer environment, can sign into user apps and websites, and runs in the cloud to continue activity even when the user's device is closed. Bots can be run in parallel, with the added option to have one bot manage others or split specialized work between different agents.

Users can give bots tasks through natural language, including on websites without APIs, although SpaceXAI has not explained how credentials and permissions are handled. Users can also teach Grok Bot workflows by demonstration, allowing it to save routines and repeat them later while adapting over time. Grok Bot is launching in beta on Mac and iOS, with Windows and Linux versions also available and Android coming later.
