Ente Photos adds memory reactions, desktop upgrades, and curated sharing controls

Ente Photos has introduced a broad set of updates focused on sharing, photo organization, imports, and performance. Users can now comment on and react to shared memories, with new interactions resurfacing those collections in recipients’ feeds. They can also select individual photos from curated memories before sharing them, while public memory links now offer a more polished viewing experience for people who do not use Ente.

The update also makes it easier to connect detected faces with saved contacts and introduces a redesigned photo viewer with a cleaner information panel for names, timestamps, locations, albums, and recognized people. On desktop, Ente has improved upload reliability, the import process, archived album rendering, and its machine learning pipeline. Google Photos imports now support favorites and partner shared items while preserving those associations in Ente Photos.

Additional improvements include faster photo loading, more efficient cache management, and more reliable OCR text selection through a long press. Ente is also working on deeper Android integration, faster on device machine learning, closer desktop feature parity, improved family sharing, and new tools for cleaning up photo libraries.
