PlayStation to remove 500+ Studio Canal movies from user libraries in 2026
PlayStation will remove over 500 Studio Canal films from customers’ libraries on September 1, 2026, due to the expiration of a licensing agreement.
This includes well-known movies such as 'Terminator 2', 'Rambo', 'Apocalypse Now', 'Hot Fuzz', and 'Moonlight'.
Users will lose access even if they previously purchased these titles.

Imagine blaming PlayStation for this instead of Canal+. Canal+ is notoriously difficult to work with regarding licensing to put it nicely.
I think the "play has no limits" slogan is a joke in light of the news (as well as the digital-only move): both developments risk enticing players into piracy and warez out of frustration.
