Claude launches on Microsoft Foundry with Azure integration

Claude models are now generally available in Microsoft Foundry, hosted on Azure, allowing organizations to use existing Azure authentication, billing, and governance controls.

The initial release includes Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Haiku 4.5 through the Messages API, supporting features like prompt caching and extended thinking.

Users can choose to run inference on Azure—with options including a US data zone—or on Anthropic servers, depending on their compliance and feature needs.
