Grok can now learn and remember AI skills across every conversation on all major platforms
xAI has introduced persistent skills for Grok, allowing users to teach the AI assistant preferences, formatting rules, or workflow steps that are remembered across every conversation. This eliminates the need to repeat instructions, significantly streamlining long-term interactions.
Every Grok account now comes equipped with built-in skills from xAI, requiring no initial setup. If users wish to tailor these capabilities to their needs, they can easily override the defaults, with custom skills always taking priority.
Grok can generate production-ready Word documents, PowerPoint slides, Excel spreadsheets, and PDF files, fully styled and ready to distribute. Users may also upload their own files, and Grok will restructure, polish, or expand them according to instructions. These document workflows facilitate tasks like creating invoices, pitch decks, or budget spreadsheets.
Skill creation has been made efficient; users can craft a new skill in seconds by simply describing it during a conversation, uploading a file, or writing one from scratch. Grok allows users to save any learned workflow or format as a reusable skill, supporting highly customizable interactions.
These features are available now with Grok 4.3, accessible across the web app, iOS, and Android devices.
